Do not be put of by the 300x300 DPI. Dye sub printers produce MUCH better colour and more durable prints than inkjet. See link below, basically dye sub produces very smooth colour gradients that inkjets cannot. I have a high Canon inkjet not a dye sub based on cost.

If you need a portable battery printer that can output prints that are durable (unlike inkjets!) this is a good buy, but the cost is very high. I worked it out some time ago it was over £1.50 per print.

I use my inkjet for quick quality prints at home and the free intro offers at the on line outfits like Lumix (50 prints for £1.50 delivered!) even Tescos do 5p a print for 100+ prints 6x4".

Think about what YOU need, and all the options.

In answer to your question, I've seen this printer at a show it is amazing!

    Doesnt seem so bad!

  • Even cheaper if you buy a triple pack through Amazon Marketplace - http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00024JVHW/qid%3D1141892220/202-9493054-6821426 - £21 plus delivery for 108 prints, which works out at less than 25p a print. Obviously not as cheap as Boots or Asda, but not bad if you want the convenience.

I very much want to buy the printer myself - but my wife won't let me...

    Regards
