At Last I got Overcharged

Went to Asda today and bought Smart Price Peppers priced @ £1.33 on SEL but big sticker in front showing £1.48 on display bin in front.
Surprise I went to checkout and the SA scanned the item and the price came up at.................£1.48:eek::j:j.

Went to customer service explained overcharge, followed CS lady to shelf (I also took a photo on my phone beforehand:D) showed her the lower price straight back to CS desk got my 15p refund and with absolutely no prompting from me had my £2 gift card handed over.

So whoever the OP was for this little tip was thanks.......... I have learnt so much from this site in the last few months.:j:j:j

As far as Im aware, the rules have changed now. Whereas it was £2 per item its now £2 per transaction. So whether there was 1 or 10 overcharges on 1 receipt you would only get 1x£2 giftcard.

The best one we ever found was when our favourite brand of shower gel had 4 for £3 on the SEL. I knew that couldn't be right as it was £2-odd for one tube, but we bought them, got the four for £3 plus a £2 gift card! They moved the label pdq though

love it when this happens we got over charged for a crate of beers it was bogof and they charged us for both so we ended up with about 30 free beers (tesco) :j

took a top back to asda i was overcharged for,i got given the difference then had to ask about the giftcard...customer services women looked as if she had no idea what i was talking about so i just stood there for a while ......eventually she gave me a £2 gift card(how did she know it should have been £2 if she didnt know:rolleyes:).
Then after doing shopping my mum got overcharged!!!!! so she went to cust services,saw same woman and she still had to ask for the giftcard....:mad:
Sometimes i wonder if they keep them for themselves if they dont give them to customers......sorry for being cynical.

Gosh, we are such a sad lot. Do you realise that most of us on here absolutly delight in being overcharged by any store (esp Tesco). It is becoming an adventure to find out what different stores are willing to give us to avoid being reported to Trading Standards. I even have my eye on a product in Tesco's that the offer runs out on this week!
