What does this term means?

Please when making a will, what does this term means, whatsoever and wheresoever? Trying to write a simple will for the children to leave each other their property which consisted of only their investments in the bank, BS account etc. I came across this term "I devise and bequeath the residue of my real and personal state whatsoever and wheresoever." I guess if I use ths term that means everything they owe including personal stuffs will be passed to each other. Thanks
