Co-op fresh chickens half price

Co-op near me has fresh chickens at half price. This is a new promotion ( nationwide )for this week only tho'. They are Elmwood which is not mass produced but not free range either. Co-op are quite ethically minded so should be okay.

These are actually really good quality - standards are equal to the RSPCA Freedom Foods accrediation but they have not paid to get accredited so they are not as expensive.
They get natural day light, things to play with and much fewer chicken per metre squared - and they taste good!

I got one yesterday. It's £1.47/kg down from £2.99/kg on SMALL and MEDIUM chickens only.

I just got one - price is £1.47 per kg - mine was just over 1.5kg - 2.33 - very pleased

Called in this afternoon, and some with tomorrows date were reduced again - so we had roast chicken for tea, with enough left over for a curry tomorrow. Thanks.
