Hi
Hope its ok to put this here. Cancelled SS a while ago, received the following email earlier this week:
"Dear M,
New Year. New ScreenSelect.co.uk.
We've made a number of real improvements in 2006 and you can see what we mean by coming back to us before 5th March 2006 and getting the first two months back for the price of 1.
Here's what's new in 2006:
Rejoin on the 2 discs at-a-time package (£12.49 a month)
Rejoin on the 3 discs at-a-time package (£14.99 a month)
Now, am I being thick here - I took this to understand if I clicked I would be rejoining at the price of 2 months for one. Joined 2 march so y next billing date should be 2nd May.
My account says in fact, 2nd April and although I clicked through the one disc package, I got two discs in the post and my account says two disc package.
Two emails to screenselect asking whats going on got the following response:
"thanks for your email regarding your ScreenSelect account.
We can inform you that the only person who has changed your subscription status has been you
You may have possibly done this upon your self-reactivation. That was a promotional deal, and we do not have any records of a promotional code being input. If you have this code please email it to us so we can applyit to your account as soon as possible.
Kind regards, James"
Help!!
Have emailed them again with an attahced screenshot of the promo email I received. There was no code on it, just as i understood, a click through!
So confused....Please let me know if you think i'm in the wrong or thick or what....they're normally really good but I'm stumped. I dont want to be paying full price, as I'm very much a dvd tart!

This shows a good point.
Always take a screen shot when you sign up.
i would contact screenselect and say if they don't confirm the deal and your next payment date, they have kept to the terms and conditions of their offer. You therefore want to cancel from the beginning and have all money refunded and teh account closed.
If this does not succed contact your credit card company with all the details and they will refund your money.
i did this with a Lovefilm complaint where they refused to give me a free trial because I already had one.
But they refused to cancel it from my email and took my money.
Credit card company gave me money back straight away.0 -
Thanks.
I've been through a few emails so far with them saying I wasn't under a promo, and finally just had an email saying actually this is their fault and they're going to contact me about having it amended.
So, should hear something tomorrow I hope!0 -
I signed up for a free trial with lovefilm through quidco.com and then called to cancel it. They offeredme three months for the price of one, which I couldn't refuse!
I'll still quit when it's over0
