Doing a bit of DIY and needed a tube of clear silicone sealer, went to Homebase in Bangor, couldn't believe the price £9.99 - went round to Corrys or whatever it's called now on the Gransha Road £3.49 for the same thing! Now that is a rip off!!

Homebase and B&Q home furnishing departments are in for a shock when Ikea opens...0

Homebase is only worth visiting on their 10% weekends even then they are not that competitive0

Some of the Stuff in B&Q and Homebase cane be very cheap compared to places like Corys etc, it pays to shop around a wee bit with building materials...0

Me and Hubby have been having heart failure over the prices in B&Q over here - everything is so much more expensive then we are used to and we have found the local shops to be cheaper. eg roll of masking tape in B&Q £1.28p - local hardware shop 78p. Bathroom sink and vanity £880 B&Q with a six week delivery, local plumbers merchants just under half the price with a weeks delivery. It certainly pays to shop around0
