    was this arrangement made through a court order was something you agreed between them, could you not split the claim with them for tax credits and Child Benefit you are entitled to half of it, you are both taking care of the children 50/50,

    We're in the same position as Newlywed - children are supposed to stay half and half with each parent but in effect stay 10/14 nights with us, rest with their mother. But my OH pays 12% child support and their mother receives all CB and child tax credits. On top of that my OH pays for all children's school clothing, music lessons, etc., also contributes heavily towards their holidays away with their mother.

    Usually quite sanguine about it - it's not something I want to get involved in, but writing it down like this just makes me mad!!
