Church music...
I absolutlely love the instrumental version of this song, and would love it to appear somwhere in the service. I know the song is actually about suicide... but the music makes me cry almost instantly and this version is stunning.
Any suggestions on how i can incorporate it and do you think it is innapropriate given the meaning of the song ( even though the words wont be sung, its just the music i want to have played on a piano)

personally, I wouldn't have it. And i think if the minister knew what the words to the original song were, and what they meant, he probably wouldn't allow you to have it, even if it was an instrumental version. (Suicide being a sin, etc etc)
just looking at the words, they are pretty depressing! I know the instrumental is nice but personally if i heard it at a wedding (especailly at a church wedding) I would think it was a bit odd.
Interested to see what other people think.0 -
Yes, i know exactly what you mean. I certainly dont want to be odd!! Im the sort of person that doesnt ''read into'' lyrics and if i like the song then so be it. But i also have guests to think about, so maybe this isnt a very appropriate choice!!
Any other views very welcome!Getting Married Sat Aug 22nd 2009...... so excited!!
