Help please with Moorcroft’s response to CCA request ....(long post sorry!)

Hi to All,
I have been lurking (and learning) for a while now and have been reassured by a lot of what I’ve read on here so thanks everyone for that!
We are taking advice from the CCCS and at the moment,on their advice, are paying the credit cards we owe £1 a month as we are in a deficit situation with multiple debts.
Moorcroft Debt Recovery acting on a Homebase debt have been a right pain and constantly harassing us to pay more, saying we have not replied to them (when we have) and even writing to say we had agreed to pay £100 a month when we hadn’t!!!!
The debts are in my husband’s name and he is responding to all their calls and letters and being very polite to them. Myself I am fuming in the background!!!!
When they sent that letter saying we’d agreed to pay £100 a month and once again asking for a statement that we’d already sent I was very angry and drafted a letter out for my husband to send.
I quoted the OFT advice about their repeated harassment and asking for info we’d already given and also asked for proof of our so called agreement to pay £100 a month (which obviously they cannot provide as it doesn't exist).
I also sent a copy of the request for a CCA letter that I found on here (with £1) as I thought I would ask them for something for a change!
The thing is we are not disputing the debt I just wanted to inconvenience them!
Now we have received the following reply and I don’t know what to do or say back........can someone help me please???
“I refer to your recent correspondence. We are continuing to seek to obtain a copy of the Consumer Credit Agreement that you have requested. Our systems provide for reviews to be sent to our client on a regular basis and this we are continuing to do. I will contact you again just as soon as the agreement has been made available to ourselves and confirm that at this stage the account has been placed on hold and that we will not seek to enforce the debt until such time as the agreement is obtained.
In the meantime however we believe that it may be of assistance to all parties if we also take this opportunity to ensure that any potential areas of dispute are addressed prior to any possible court action or further investigation. Please could you give an indication of the information you will be providing, when giving evidence to the court or providing information to the relevant statutory authorities in relation to the alleged subject matter of the account.
[What are they going on about????]
Please could you provide this information by return. We believe this is a simple request that will assist in ensuring that all possible areas of dispute are identified as quickly as possible and potential costs and delays kept to a minimum level.
I thank you for your assistance and patience in this regard."
Yours sincerely

What do you think???I am confused!!!Like I said we are not disputing what we owe I just wanted to make them get the CCA and it seems to have p***** them off!
I think they are still using their frightening techniques by continually mentioning court action.
What information are they talking about us providing anyway?
Please someone correct me if I’m wrong but I understood that IF we were disputing a debt it would be up to them to prove we owed it and not for us to provide info to prove we didn’t so what are they asking for? I am confused
Or are they asking for details from us of all the harassment and requests for info over and over that I am complaining about along with their lies? In case I take it up with OFT?
I know we are within our rights to ask for the CCA but it has seemed to spark off more aggro from them.
Sorry for rambling but please help me someone....... especially as my husband now thinks I have made things worse!

Please don't worry.

That is the bog standard Moorcroft reply to a CCA request. Gotta have seen that dozens of times.
You are not obliged to supply them with anything. It is THEM that has to supply YOU with a copy of the CCA.
Just sit tight and see if they can come up with anything.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

In the meantime do not accept any phone call from them . Refuse to confirm any security questions . Insist that any communication must be done by letter . They will use phone calls to pressurise you into agreeing to payments you can not afford .Our advice is NEVER talk to these parasites on the phone , it gets you absolutely nowhere .0

Thank you for your replies!
I feel a bit better now after a big initial panic after getting the letter.
I wish I could get through to my husband about not talking to these people on the phone but I can't !
He is basically far too polite and nice for his own good and thinks it will help our case to cooperate and answer the phone and be seen to be keeping in touch. I keep telling him we are keeping in touch by our £1 Payments a month and our initial letter and statements detailing our situation fully. But no he spends ages on the phone going all over it again
!
I will try again to deter him from doing this though as after over 6 months of pressure from lots of credit cards
we are not in any situation to pay more how ever often they phone.
This forum is a lifesaver I believe....... Thanks so much just for listening :T0 -
Karmum - my OH is the same. Stupid pillock.....
He will always talk to them (Link mainly) and explain everything, confirm all details, have a long drawn out conversation and tells me to shhhussh when I tell him to just hang up. And because he talks to them, they never put anything in writing!
I have had enough now - if he doesn't want my help then he's on his own.
(Sorry, bad few weeks - a bit anti-OH right now!)0
