My dad used to LOVE duck eggs for his breakfast - never quite got the liking for them myself.

    Hi clutterydrawer,

I've never had bantam eggs but I like duck eggs poached. This thread might give you some ideas:

What to make with duck eggs?

Bantam eggs are just like small chickens eggs (maybe a bit richer). They're delicious soft boiled or scrambled - don't waste them on cooking. And check the time for boiling as they don't take long.

Duck eggs are great for omelettes and quiches.

I used to really like goose eggs. Seem errrr eggy-er than normal eggs! :D

Hmmm, are the duck eggs blue? As in 'duck egg blue'? Maybe I'm being a little naive thinking all duck eggs are blue:confused::rotfl:. Anyways, what I'm thinking is you could decorate the eggs for Easter- by 'blowing' the insides out like they used to make you do at school you can also use the inside to make an omlette or quiche (as suggested above) so you have a nice blue base colour to decorate, and you don't waste the tasty egg either :D
  • mmmm I think there will be some omletting and some scrambling going on in the cluttery household this week then. I love how this board never fails me no matter what I ask!

    thankyou :)

  • duck eggs are good for cakes too as the white is firmer which gives more 'rise' to them!

Duck eggs are gorgeous!!! They're richer & bigger than chicken's eggs & are perfect for having Boiled egg & soldiers with.

    Mmmmmmmmmmmmm.
