I lost the instruction booklet for my new BM when I moved house, so I've been having a play with it today. Tried it a couple of times and just can't get it to work.
If I set it off on the basic settling (for example) it shakes and stirs but never bakes. Even on the bake setting it doesn't bake. It gets slightly tepid but that's all. I'm left with the same fairly soggy mixture I started with.
I followed a recipe from Doves Farm flour. Because it doesn't even remotely resemble bread I don't think it's a problem with the recipe.
Am I doing something wrong or is it just knackered? All I've done is bung the ingredients in as instructed, choose a crust colour and loaf size then choose the programme (tired basic and quick today) and pressed start.
Am I missing something? Can anyone help?

Hi I have the Swan SB1010. I have checked in the troubleshooting section and it does not give anything about not baking. There is a helpline number 01733 404703.
If it helps, if you wanted to pm your name and address I will take my booklet to work tomorrow and photocopy it and post it to you - you would then have the recipes again too!"Keep smiling, it makes people wonder what you are up to........"Dieting ........... is no piece of cake!!!!:D
