Anyone know where I can get this, been searching on the web and they seem really expensive, is there other alternatives? Thinking of buying some and cutting and sanding it into the shape I want.
Trying to make a large curvy shape for a model I am making. Size wise I need is 1mx1.6m by 15cm thick.
Any help is much appreciated.

Polystyrene rather than Styrofoam is used as insulation panel in building, price around real builders merchants, price can vary wildly, rather than B&Q, certainly get 8 x 4 in 4" thick sheets realtively easily, glue together if you need thicker, thick wall paper paste joins poly nicely.
Can ad toughness by coating with Foamcoat, UK theatre suppliers stock it:
