Bankrupt this morning

After some fantastic advice from here and some panicky Threads put on here, My OH and I went bankrupt this morning!!

We were nervous and hated handing over the £990!! The people in the court were very pleasant, the judge very straight and pleasant too.

We had a half hour break before being put on the phone to the OR. What a pleasant and charming young lady, completely put us at ease.

We now await the phone call from the OR to discuss more details but this does not scare us now as I believe she is very approachable, I hope others get the same treatment as we did.

The vodka and whisky will be flowing tonight though as a good nights sleep is in order.

Phew :D

That is the irony - you have no money so you want to go bankrupt and they land you with a bill for £990!

Well done on getting through this - you can have a nice weekend now.

Where in UK did you go BR?

Congratulations. As fermi says at least you got in before the increase and also the last working day of the tax year (I did the same last year!) so will avoid nil tax code if applicable.

We did ours at Exeter in March and had our OR interview over phone today. We didn't see judge or speak to OR on the day but everyone was great to us, particularly receptionist in Court Office. If you get the same lady as us (HL) and you are upfront and honest you will be fine. Good Luck.
