Yep Its not for me!! Its for BIL who has finally admitted - but not sure where he should go for help - MIL is flying in tomorrow to help sort him out, he's in a really bad way apparently.

Computer is doing my head in, whenever I try to change anything, 'Im not an administrator'...I can't add or remove programmes...I'm trying to Uninstall FF completly and uninstall and then reinstall Hijack this for the guys on the techie thread who are helping but its not going well!!

OH is out with his boss trying to sort out leave so he can be with his brother etc and its all a bit loopy here!!

Went to see Is Anybody there? The acting was good and it was an ok film but there were two people with youngish children there and I can't imagine they enjoyed it as it was about a boy who was fascinated with death and the after-life....

What's wrong with your BIL?

Have you tried just completely re-writing the hard drive?

I want to see that, but I'm going to wait for it to come out on DVD, because the last couple of times I went to the cinema there were a lot of unruly kids, that drove me nuts.

Do you have the disks that originally came with the laptop?

If you put those in, it will wipe everything on your harddrive and it will install Windows and whatever programmes came with your laptop originally. You'll then have to add any additional programmes you use now.

Erm, no idea where I put them!! haha!! Must be around somewhere!! Will have a look tonight.

One fella (sexist, maybe?!?) is helping me on the techie board and has done good so far....just takes ages and I wanna cry!!

Can't understand whats happened or why?? Always have anti-virus and scan every week!! Grrrr!!

But make sure you have all your Windows licences etc Gert or you will have a completely useless lappy :eek: re-formatting could be the answer but the techies would help you with that too

Afternoon lovelies, had a lovely evening at our friends, dinner was scrummy, chicken stuffed with herb cheese and wrapped in palma ham and she did Eton Mess for pudding, yummy!!! Too much wine of course so am feeling a bit wobbly today, but a couple of hours in the garden has helped :cool:

Just realised that it is Ktflosspot's birthday today! Not sure if she is around much lately, and probably isn't on a sunny day like today, and unfortunately I can't do those fancy pictures, but as it's the thought that counts .....
