If anyone else can help with the FF issue as per Mamzie above....my version is 3.0.8 and I've checked everything she suggested to check and its all fine?!?! But still logging me out - comp uses Vista if that helps??

has it crashed on you recently (shut down on it's own, loading a page or whatever?) if so, that should be easily fixable.. if not.. hmm. I'll do some googling if you can say what happened just before it started logging you out.. ;)

    I HATE MY JOB!
    I really really do!
but can I risk changing jobs in this current climate?
I hate every morning I wake up and have to come in.
Sure, it's quite easy going here but I'm bored to utter death and our next project doesn't interest me in the slightest, and, without it sounding bigheaded or anything, I deserve more! All my friends in a similar industry are on at least 5k if not more than me and most enjoy what they're doing.. I really think I'm in the wrong job :(

what on earth do I do? Ride it out for a bit? Or jump before it sinks?

Hmmm difficult one, I think well paid jobs are hard to come by at the mo unless you're already in one, I would stick it out for a bit, maybe keep your eye out for jobs & even apply for them but don't be too hasty ;) I hate the current climate, my OH was basically told he had to either cut his ours or take some unpaid holiday or he would be made redundant  I wouldn't mind but hes the only one that knows the systems correctly so they need him there, flippin numptys lol

gemma - maybe you could have a look to see if there are any jobs around that you want to apply for. If there are apply for them but remain in your current job until you know that you've got a job offer unless you can afford to be without work for a while. If you're really that bored there I would at least look around for a new job although you might not even find anything.

the really annoying thing is that I've got a 3 month notice period so if I want a decent reference? I'm here til August at the earliest :(

I've already semi-got my feelers out there incase something super shows up, but my main problem is that I have no clue in what I want to do next.. well, I do, photography, but that's insanely hard to get into and I wouldn't know where to begin so I'm stuck as for what to do :( though I *do* have enough money to not work for a while, I don't really want to dig into my savings for too long if I did that :(

can comping become a full time job? ;) :rotfl:

It's what my job is at the moment if anyone asks lol, sounds better than unemployed and I don't think I can quite allow myself to become a full time housewife at 22 however much I would love it

My DH was in a similar situation... He's in a very well paid job but lots of people in his company were made redundant before Christmas then everything seemed to calm down until last month when the entire company took an 8% pay cut ( which is HUGE) it wasnt just him though evryone had to take that or redundancy. pay cut takes affect this month so am gonna have to watch my spending. ... do people think the comps have been affected by the climate????
I can only please one person a day.... Today is not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look good either!!
very greatful for almost everything i read on MSE (except for the nasties!)

I recon comps have been affected, I don't win a quarter of what I used to, but then again maybe I'm just having an extra unlucky year! my total would be next to nothing if it wasnt for mobile phone & processer win (which were comps that ended in Dec but I was notifiied in Jan)

Very happy with my couple of bigs wins though & keeping my fingers crossed that I get a little win on the Glamour comp :D also makes you appriciate the few little wins more when you get a dry spell.
