TFT Monitors

  • A value-for-money 17" TFT monitor? Plenty available from Aria, certainly - but recently came across something that came highly reccommended in PCFormat: the VideoSeven L17PS.

Only has a VGA input, but response time is a claimed 14ms, and it's available from several stores at less than £200. Looks tacky, but the screen itself is apparently of very high quality.

Cheapest I've found is at TechnoWorld Plc.

    Hope this helped.
  • Looks a good deal
  • Many thanks one and all. With your help, I've been able to go and buy a tft monitor from Aria for an excellent price of £140.89 all in.

  • I've just taken delivery of the monitor from Aria. They've sent me the wrong one.haven't they. Instead of the 17" Arianet Premium, they have sent me a Digimate 17" TFT LCD monitor (L-1715 )!
Yet when I look at their website, Digimate shows out of stock. I guess I will have to get in touch with them.

Keep ypur Digimate 1715 - it's a 12ms response and a brilliant monitor in all ways.

    Spec here

  • I suppose I could keep the Digimate but then if anything goes wrong with it the 3 year warranty doesn't come into play because my receipt states that I have purchased an Arianet monitor.
It's a bit odd about the specs you posted because mine says that the response rate is 16ms.

  • Hi All

Just wanted to say that I received my Aria 17' TFT monitor safe and sound, and it is fantastic!

As previously mentioned here, I ordered the the Arianet Premium @ £132.72, but when it came it was a Digimate L-1715.

(Note - updated) - the Digimate website sattes this monitor has a refresh rate of 12ms, but if you download and view the user manual from the same site, it states 16ms, which is much more likely at this price! - Just wanted to let you all know. (End of update)

I'm not sure why they delivered this unit, bit I'm not complaining as I am very happy with the unit.

Well worth a look I think.

    regards

when it arrived they had sent me the digimate one 15" Digimate L-1517 TFT Monitor

its the same price as the aria value one but has anyone had the same thing happen order the aria then being sent the digimate one even though they have plenty of the aria value one in stock.

also is the digimate one as good as the aria one. not sure whether to contact them and ask them to exchange it, or should i keep the digimate tft because it is a better one :D
