Can someone please help in finding a letter template for me. I have seen it on here before but now can not find it as needed.
Basically, I have already sent a DCA a letter stating my incomings and out goings and can hold off any action for a month or two until on my feet.
They have replied in saying that they will only accept a minimum of 1% of the outstanding balance (total £5582) - I dont even have £50 to buy my food each month let alone pay them!!
Is there a letter to re-ask?!
I am on SMP and this only covers my mortgage and council tax and im still short of these.
Grr, these debts are driving me barmy, just as I got them all sorted with offers, my other half loses his job -jsa is saying they have a backlog for a month?! so no extra money until then

Hi SL - Have a look at the following National Debtline link:

Hope that helps. :beer:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Just to add:
You pay them what you can afford. There is NO minimum that they can accept.
If they don't like what you can afford, then that is just tough!Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
