I have an enamel lapel badge which has a spike to go though the lapel and then a 'butterfly' clasp to hold it on t'other side... only the clasp has gone awol.
I have tried, in vain, all kinds of jewellers, haberdashers and craft shops and it seems nobody wants to know - I have to buy a completely new badge to get another clasp.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? They look like this:

You could buy a charity pin badge and use the clasp from that .You can usually find them in various stores for about a pound. The charity benifits and you get a clasp ..cant be bad0

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email !!!!!!.:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0

They look like the things used to clasp the metal button on jeans to me. If you have an old pair try pulling the button apart from the clasp.0

Could an earring butterfly do the job? You get some fairly large ones in places like Claire's.What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0
