We dumped ntl TV and went for sky. One phonecall to ntl to give them notice (they may well offer you a cheaper deal to stay).

  • Don't do it! I moved from NTL to SKY, big mistake. Sky offered me a deal that meant I got movies free for three months. After two months I rang to make sure that the movies would be turned off "don't worry" was the reply "just ring back in three weeks time and it will be sorted". When I rang back I was told "sorry you should have cancelled six weeks ago it's too late to stop the payment now". This was two weeks before the payment came out of my bank.Since then I have been overcharged twice and had to fight hard to get my money back. The main reason I left NTL was the picture froze every now and again. With SKY even the bloody weather affects it.

3 for £30 is probably the best you can get out of NTL, if you scrap the TV you then have to pay £17.99 for broadband £10 phone line rental ... is it worth loosing the Tv for £3 ?
If it doesnt pay rent sell it.
