trade in 2 ds games get any ds game £5 at game

saw this in the window of game this morning

trade in any 2 ds games and you can have any ds game for £5
i haven't tried it yet but there is lots of discussion about this on hukd too
as people just buy the cheapest games they can find anywhere (need box and instructions) to trade...

they saw it may only be for today and tommorrow as part of the intro of the new dsi
(also there is talk about additional loophole that will probably be ended when noticed)

i have a few games around that i never play and wouldn't mind trading in.

Its supposed to be on til the 22nd april, as it came through the post as an offer to me, but it does say they can withdraw the offer if they choose.

This seems like a great offer for me as I have some rubbish games to sell that came with my DS. I'm new to gaming though and I've only opened one game which I'd like to keep if possible. Someone on Hotdeals mentioned a R4 card - are they legal and if so what do I do to save the game? Sounds like it could be handy for travelling etc. Thanks, WBH

Credit to Trebor on HUKD for this but its possible to get a DSi if you trade in 12 ds games.

People have been buying cheap games and then trading in to get this or credit on card.

I can confirm it works as done it myself this morning

I can confirm this, i bought an ea 4games pack from argos for £20 and took it to game with my old ds and a few of our own games. Got £75 trade in for my ds and £50 trade in for the ea games. After the other games i traded in i actually ended up in credit.

Can anyone else confirm that the option to get the DSi with 12 games is acceptable at Game stores, because if so I will hunt out games over the weekend to do this? Also is there any cash to pay or does it just balance out as credit on card?

I think my mrs has about 12 (original)games, if not, I will get some on the cheap from somewhere to top it up.
Then I can stop using her DS and have the DSi for myself.

Please be aware that not all game stores are honouring this, as stated in the long thread on hukd.
If you do have any problems though, theres nothing stopping you from fulfilling their deal of "trade in any 2 ds games and get a new ds game for £4.99" and then returning the new games you have just bought for a refund to a gift card and then using the credit that way.
(therefore getting a refund of 29.99 to a gift card)

I've just phoned my local store (Rhyl) and asked about the offer.
The Manager answered the phone and told me they are only doing to trade two DS games in and buy any DS game for £5.

I asked about the trade in for £25 store credit and he said they are not doing it and he doesn't think any store in North Wales are doing it.
