Hi
I have been paying monthly payments to my ex wife for my daughter.
She is 17yrs and has got a modern appreticeship paying £90 per week.
For the last year she has being doing nothing but I have still paid the money. Now that she is earning I have decided to stop paying much to the annoyance of my ex.
The ex has just told me that I signed an agreement with her to pay until my daughter is 18yrs and she is going to send it to the CSA.
My questions, am I still liable for the maintenance even though she is earning,
does the signed agreement stand and do I have to honour it and can the CSA look at how much I have been paying for the last 9 yrs and make me pay more and even back date it.
Thanks in advance

no i dont think CSA can make you pay any back pay as the case wasn't with them
also i think that if your daughter is not in education of more than 12 hours a week (over 16 years old) then CSA wont make you pay
this is just what i've picked up from reading this site
good luck for the futureI'm often on call :Aso if I suddenly dont reply then i might be out saving a life :j or i might just be having a ciggy:D :rotfl:
You can't get a yes if you dont ask:rolleyes:0 -
Does the mother still get child benefit? If not, then the CSA won't get involved.0

Hi just to add that any signed agreement is not enforceable by the CSA anyway!!! Take a look at their website and in light of the new legislation it explains on there that even though 2 parents may reach an amicable agreement about child support and can sign a document it is not legally binding on either side, so she is stuffed there!!!
