Me again!
I am looking to buy cheap (very cheap) children's bookcases and storage for my infant class, as school funds are tight. Does anyone know of any auctions/sales of old school stuff, or even just cheap children's furniture? I would also be grateful if anyones knows of any places that would be throwing out old paper offcuts or anything that might be used creatively by children. I already use the Play resource centre in Belfast, which has free scrap supplies. Any free (or very cheap) stuff for schools would be appreciated so much. Thanks alot.:o

yes! It's in Duncairn gardens now! Very useful indeed!:T0

What about freecycle or you could try Wilson's Auctions in Mallusk? Maybe you could get things free from a office that's replacing old stuff?
Don't schools have to go through a central office though that covers quality and safety issues? I remember a friend running into problems when trying to do something similar.
Edit, maybe NICVA in Duncairn Gardens could suggest some contacts?
Good luck!0 -
Thanks WBH, I wasn't aware of that safety stuff, but it would seem to make sense. I wll check it out. Thanks:T0
