Our decking in the back garden gets very slippy when raining etc and I have fallen a few times now and wrecked my knee in the process:( . Is there anything you can buy locally to stick onto the decking to make it non slip?
I have seen a few places that have decking and they have like a pathway of what I can only describe as a surface like sandpaper so you dont slip, but I have yet to find where you can get this:sad:
Someone suggested when we are painting it again (which will be soon) to mix some sand in with the paint - though im not sure if this would work?
Any suggestions ?
thanks a lot

Hi, you can buy anti slip grip tape online from safety supply company , I thik they are called, also various paints available online if you search for anti slip paint.
I think the tape sounds like the next step ( excuse the pun)

Thanks for that, I will have a look for that tape, it sounds like what we have seen on other decking.

this is probably just me-
but everytime I log on and see that title... I have a wee laugh :T
Hope you get it sorted.
I checked out tape (its stuck on but hard to remove apparently).
Surely there should be some other form of slip-proof substance....
(could you put another layer on top using ridged planks??)0 -
I've come across chicken wire (fine wire mesh) being used on decking in public parks and it's very effective but possibly not pretty.0
