i was just wondering if anyone knows of websites or places where you can advertise or contact people to house swap in County Down? I would like to downsize , but can't get my house sold in the present market. I was considering renting my house to move somewhere smaller, but wouldn't know how to begin there either. Any help would be appreciated, thanks:o

Drop the asking price to 40% below peak and you will sell. There are buyers out there. Price to sell and you will bag one of them.Stercus accidit0

I've a Caravan in the drive if you want to rent it. Would imagine you couldn't downsize much more than that!!0

what about gumtree? at least its free and it has a Belfast section (which covers the whole of NI,lol) worth a go id say.from memory it has an actual 'swap' section!.beware though, seems to have its fair share of messers so be careful arranging any meetings or any detail sharing before you are comfortable with getting a feeling for the person!
I was only selling a pram but was constantly contacted by people from Nigeria ect wanting to put money into my account ect ect!!it takes more energy

Yeah houseswapni is annoying because you have to register your property for swapping but I wanted to view the houses on there to see if there was any point!!
And the other post-er is right there is some movement in properties but you have to be realistic.MFW 148 - Mortgage £121,000 1Jan11 / Mortgage £120,300 28Jan11 / £119,808 24Feb11 / £119,400 22 April11 / £119,089 29 May11 / £118,500 October110
