CityLink Service 900 Glasgow - Edinburgh Zoo
I have a couple of questions, first, thinking of going to the zoo during the holidays & we'll be taking a pushchair. On this service do we fold the pushchair & put it in the hold of the bus or do we have to take it on board, it's a bit of a bulky one.
Also, on the way back, according to CityLink website it does stop outside the zoo but someone has told me it doesn't, can anyone clarify that for me?
Thanks

well ive never been on
but i would expect the pushchair to go underneath
the 900's have a bit of a steep stairway in
last time i saw a 900 it did stop outside the zoo as i dropped the person off at that stop(we had missed it at haymarket)0 -
According to the timetable it stops at the Zoo in both directions...

If you book in advance on the website you get the fare much cheaper. They have single fares for only £1 - although limited to the number of these.Plus if you book 3 days in advance you get an extra discount.0

Thanks for the heads up on the £1 fares, I didn't know about those. Would I get away with booking one of those for my 8 year old or would I have to get the £4.10 childs single?
Or, could I book the £1 single fares there & back for 2 adults & get my son a return on the same service which would be £6 return for him.0 -

You could book a £1 single for your child if you wanted but I think the £1 seats are limited ,details here ,so you prob would be best using the £1 tickets for the adult fares. The last time I did it it would only allow me to buy one £1 ticket per booking- so not sure if this is the case.
If you book 3 days in advance you get a bigger discount and also if you are unemployed/student /disabled there is a seperate box for this too.It is mae=rked the DISCOUNT BOX and worth checking to see if any apply to you. I have booked through this discount before and never been asked for prooof- I am a mature student. If you have
There is also the £5 return code that was in the Sunday Mail. The code should be in the newspaper section of mse .Maybe combine this with some £1 tickets.
There is also the FAMILY TICKET if you travel at the weekend kids go free.
So several ways of seeing what discount suits you best.0
