My Woolies is Wellworths! Fact is, the Dorchester store constantly turned a profit. The town has no pound shops at all, no huge out-of-town superstores, nothing like Wilkinsons - there is no competition. I think it's going to work incredibly well. I worked in that store for four years, and it's great to see all my old colleagues still working together and being on the TV!0

Apparently Upminster is becoming a Wilkinsons, seen no hard evidence of this though to be honest.
Anyone know about Romford, Hornchurch or Lakeside Shopping Centre?0 -
Walton and East Molesey are apparently going to be carpet stores. IMO not what either town really needs - would love a Home Bargains in Walton!0

Very strangely for Luton we got a good deal! Our tatty M&S relocated to the old Woolies store, and is now on 3 floors! Costing me a fortune in two can dine for £10 meal deals though!:j:j"If you see someone without a smile, give them yours.":DMiss Mona, The Best Little *****house in Texas0

Well, not seen a report on the on in Lewisham- would love to know but am already sensing its ....another pound store. I cannot actually count the amount of sports shops (with year long sales of 2 year old shoes), cheap tacky clothes stores, 99p or pound stores in Lewisham, there is a TK Maxx of a decent size but the rest of it really needs a huge overhall. HUGE overhall-but never fails to amaze me at just how much more downhill it can get!
Please someone- tell me I am wrong and they have put a decent store there!
There's already M&S, BHS, Sainsbury's, WHSmith, Next, Boots, Argos - what decent store are you hoping for?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
