good god, any need for that:rolleyes: - I merely asked a question, unaware that it might result in being told to get off my fat greedy as* ????

I actually dont live anywhere near a train station and have no idea where to get the Metro from, hence asking what I though was a very simple question. Sorry to have offended the coupon police:o
Totally agree with you - it reminds me of when the Daily Mail £4 book voucher used to get accepted at Tesco and virtually every time it got printed, someone would pounce on those using it.

The £2 Glayva coupon was just as likely banned because people had cut out loads of vouchers from the readily available FREE newspaper rather than PAID (in paper and ink) to print it themselves.

Re Glayva: weren't there people selling coupons on ebay!

Haven't seen a copy of it myself, but if it's one of those "accepted in Sainsburys, Waitrose... only" coupons I wouldn't use it in Tesco.

Likewise the one in today's Metro - I wouldn't use in Tesco. Don't like to see other posters insulted for merely mentioning the damn thing though.

That's fairly disingenuous of you, CM.

I think you know I'm broadly the same as you in that I don't put anything dodgy thru the till at Tesco (and have said so before).

But I'm not holier-than-thou about what others should be doing - they can make their own minds up. Dunno why that attitude seems to offends some people.

(And I noticed you admitting only the other day that you'd put coupons thru that weren't strictly speaking "within Tesco's policy" but you still did it.)
