Thats what I do as well Katrina so I'd like to know how to make one too!

it has to be finding this site, no doubt about it (not being very original though am I!)

I've learnt more in the last few months of finding MSE than in the whole of my life!

We just balance ours on a wine glass overnight (leaning on the wall/windowsill!)

This site has definitely got to be the best moneysaver - stops me falling for all kinds of purchases, and keeps me focused.

Foraging......gets me out in the fresh air....mushrooms, blackberries, cherries, hazelnuts, the list is endless..mind you, gotta have the time....the savings must be minimum £200 a year, EVERY year.

I put the clutch in going downhill so as not to use any petrol, thereby freewheeling, its okay for me going home as its downhill nearly all the way!! I have to put clutch back in just before village on the uphill then its down hill again to home. Particularly usefull when cars in the red, I can usually do to and from work 3 times using this method when oin the red.

Growing my own fruit and vegetables. There is some outlay, but more than covered by the savings on buying, especially on soft fruit, and also cut flowers - saves a fortune! The other benefit is the time it takes, which is time not spent in shops...
