Standard Life windfall.....

In Sept 2004 I took out a repayment mortgage with Standard Life Bank, been reading recently they are going to float sometime in 2006.
What I'm wondering is will I be entitled to a windfall payment?
Gut feeling says "No" it will be for with profit holders only.
Thought I would ask though!
Thanks all.

You're right.
Only people invested in the WP fund are eligible.Trying to keep it simple...0 -
As EdInvestor has said it's for with profits only customers and I think I'm right in that its going to be paid out in shares rather than cash.
Unless anyone else knows better........0 -
That's what I was thinking, but thanks anyway.

There are rumours going round that SL may be bought before it gets to flotation. In which case it could end up getting delayed further and no payout is given in shares but an increased bonus being added to the plans.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Simple answer is it can't BUT I made the assumption that it would be after a yes vote to DM but before a flotation takes place on the stockmarket.0

Yes, I simplified the terminology to keep it simple.
Its a bit of silly season at the moment. AXA has been linked to Standard Life but then they have been linked to Prudential too. Pru and NU have also had links to fend off the AXA takeover.
At this rate, there will only be a handful of providers out there covering the UK market.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). This has been ruled out.
People in the UK will all get shares: there are some people overseas who will get the equivalent in cash because of regulations in the countries they live in.
The Pru's share price is well down today as the Pru/NU merger rumours have been squelched.Trying to keep it simple...0
