Urgent chilli carpet stain problem...

Hi everyone
I urgently need your help - I'm in a rented house at the moment and the kitchen is mainly carpeted with cream carpet (how mad is that?). My hands must have been wet, because I dropped my jar of harissa paste and it went everywhere, including on the cream carpet. I've got loads of bright red chilli stains and I'm panicking because the landlord is coming round tomorrow to fix a tap and I don't want him to see what a mess it is. I've used carpet stain spray and washing up liquid and bicarb and washing powder and nothing has shifted it.
HELP!!!!!!

De.Solv.It Stain remover is great. I spilt red wine all over a brand new cream sofa a few years ago and couldn't get it out. Called the insurance firm and they sent me some de.solve.it wipes. It got every last trace of wine off the sofa really really easily. You can now buy little spray cans of it in Tesco (in the laundry aisle with the stain removers). I always keep some in the cupboard now just in case! I've used it to get chilli off my son's clothes and it works a treat. I'd pop out to Tesco a.s.a.p!!!!

We used our steam cleaner on and ink stain that had resisted everything else and it came out beautifully! (also on a rental house carpet!)Piglet

Mel2 - you've saved my bacon! I got the De.Solv.It and it's done the trick. Pitlanepiglet - I'm going to see if I can borrow a steam cleaner and do the whole of the carpet, as the bit where the stain was is now cleaner than the rest!
Thanks for your help xx0 -
SO glad it worked! Brilliant stuff it is. Haven't found anything it doesn't work on yet!0

That's true, it takes off just about anything. Grease, paint, adhesive, you name it.
And it smells great.0 -
The landlord has been and didn't notice a thing. The stain had completely gone!
