    Hi all...

Sorry to bother you yet again with another question about this, but I need to pick your brains (again....)

I have received from Red, what they say is all the information they hold.

Its a copy of all the correspondance they have sent, nothing else. Nothing to explain any charges, and apparently this is all they have!

Do you have any suggestions as to a next step? I'm not happy with the amount they're requesting, and I don't know what to do or what letter to send!

    Thanks again.....

I'm sorry, just shamefully bumping this thread as I don't know what to do.

I'd be so grateful if someone could help me regarding my last post.

Thank you all, and sorry for the bump :o

Is this the reply to your SAR?

If so, they have 40 days to comply, some creditors send the requested information in dribs and drabs to confuse you, however, you must wait the 40 days prior to taking the next step.

Thank you for your reply 10past6, I do appreciate it.

    Yes, this is the reply to the SAR. At the bottom of this letter which they sent recorded, it says;

"We confirm this is the extent of the information which we believe to be in our possession and is required to be discolsed by the provisions of Part II section 7 of the Data Protection Act 1998"

After reading that, I'm not expecting any more info to come through, but I'll wait until the 40 days.

Out of interest, if I don't get anything else through, and this is it, is there anything I can do? They have sent about 4 different letters in the last week chasing the payment in full.

Sorry for all the questions, I'm trying to sort through hubbys ever growing debts which are coming out of the woodwork, and I'm getting a bit mixed up! :o

You need to make a complaint to there Data Compliance Officer, prior to involving the ICO.

You could write back requesting a breakdown of the charges first, after all, they'd have to produce this if it ever landed in court.

    thank you again.

I'll write a letter requesting the breakdown in charges, and hopefully I'll get some sense. Do I have to specify a time limit on that letter? Or include it in the 40 days on the original sar?

Thank you for your help 10past6, I feel like I know where I'm going now.
