Wireless Speaker for a good price

Just thought you might be interested in a really good value wireless speaker I got off eBay.

Just go to eBay and search for "wireless speaker"

Look at the cheapest ones (Mine cost 99p plus 9.99 postage, came from the UK and arrived the next day) I wont list individual items so I cant be accused of advertising my own auctions!!

I was expecting something cheap and nasty (I only wanted it for taking in the bathroom with me so I could listen to the podcasts off my PC) but the sound is superb, with a decent amount of volume.

It also doubles as an FM Scan radio as it picks up the transmitters signal at 85.7mhz and goes right the way up to 108mhz

I have managed to walk all round my house and still get a perfect signal too so range isnt an issue

Um, can you give us a little more info. I see a lot of differnet sellers doing these.

Mine is unbranded - model number DZ-168.

The auction I won is here

I think they are all the same whatever seller you get them from - its just a matter of getting one at the right price. Another tip is to get a set of rechargeable batteries and a charger to save cash on batteries

I don't want to put too much of a damper on this, but I think you'll find it's illegal to broadcast stereo FM in the spectrum offered by this unit. Whilst the chances of annoying anyone and/or being tracked down by the men from the ministry are slim, the penalties would be harsh if they did.

The enforcement sections have probably been privatised now anyway, so they won't exercise the common sense that public servants used to exercise in the past. One of the downsides of payment by results, rather like these "saftety partnerships".

mine arrived today - not bad and probably worth the 99p i paid but £8.99 for postage and packing when the actual postage with royal mail was £2 seems a tad steep

You knew the total price when you bought it and now quibble about P+P . It is quite obvious that your seller priced it this way to avoid eBay fees !

Agreed, lots of powerseller/ebay stores do this to make more dosh from their auctions, can't really diss them for it as it saves a fortune!!! Wish I'd done it with my alloys!!!

I won some of these off of e-bay, 1.21p + p&p, i was quite pleased with the win but then found out the p&p was £9.99. I e-mailed to see if they could be picked up has i only live 8 mile away but i was told that the chip shop that these were being auctioned from did not allow picked ups. To preserve my 100% feed back i paid my £1.21 and told them where to stick the speaker. Over charging for p&p ruins e-bay. I,m glad i have got this off my chest.

Surely you read the all the auction before you bid !!!! sellers charge this way to avoid big ebay fees on cheap items ie ebay takes a percentage of the final price once the item has been sold, so if the item has been sold at only 99p instead of the all £11 ebay will only charge 15p commission instead £1.50.

ALWAYS CHECK THE POSTAGE AND ADD IT TO THE COST OF THE ITEM. THEN EVALUATE IF ITEM IS STILL CHAEP OR NOT.
