    Sorry to rain on your parade OP, but how well do you know people?

    Having had first hand experience of having been stalked after a meet up through another site - it is not a good idea.

    I have organized meet us via a friendship site and have never had a problem. As with anything you take a chance, but i think a day time picnic in a big park is not as much of a problem as meeting up in my house...

    but i do take your point and i would take seriously any possible risks. Im happy to do something if enough people would like to meet.

    I would be a bit frightened that I would wake up and someone had nicked the tent... afterall us BR lot are a bit untrustworthy!
