Wish I'd known about these 6 years ago when I moved into this house, there was so much limescale in the bowl I had to attack it with a pumice stone.

do you think this would work for clearing a shower drain as well? so far my attempts to get my very sluggish shower to speed up are failing, even with soda crystals... i can't take the ubend off like i did (with all your help :T ) in the bathroom sink because the landlord has seen fit to put a sealant on the bath surround so i can't take the panel off. if i DO take it off i'll likely break the plastic from what i can see and then they'll make me pay for it!

for shower drain i'd tip some caustic soda crystals in and leave it for a while then rinse thoroughly. be careful to only get it in the drain, not the surround, and don't get it on your hands! dissolves even the grossest hairy blockages (and your skin)!

edit... is caustic soda the same as soda crystals? i see you tried that already. if it is, well i'm stumped!
