trying to get rid of c/cards

Hi there,

I wonder if you can help me l currently have 2 credit cards 1 with £8000 on it and l am paying interest every month and the other has £10000 on it and l am about to start paying interest on it from next month.

I have been trying to either get another card with a 0% deal or get a card with life of the balance transfer rate, however due to the current financial climate where companies used to be falling over themselfs to give me cards they are not now. Because l have applied for a few cards and been declined l know this is going to go against me if l apply for any more. I have been in touch with my current c/cards companies to see if they have any deals and they have come back and said they do not. I don't know what to do next l really want to sort it out so that it is all in one place and l can pay at least £400 off it per month to get rid of them as quick as possiable.

Any help would be great

Have you looked at the snowball calculator at www.whatsthecost.co.uk it will tell you how soon you can be debt free if you carry on paying at your current rate.

Could you free up more cash to throw at them?? If you don't think you could then pop up a statement of affairs (calculator at www.makesenseofcards.com) and we can help you to see if there is any more you could free up.

What sort of APRs are you on? at the moment (you can include this in your SOA)

Are you still using the cards at all or are you only making payments on them?

Do you have any other debts at all?
