Quick question about 'Quickpay' kiosks

I'm waiting for a new pin number for my card, so the usual Chip and Pin keypads are not an option just yet - does anyone know if the kiosks ask for your pin number if you use them?

Yes you have to place your card in the reader and enter your PIN number to identify you as the holder of the card else anyone could use the card to obtain goods.....freddy

if your card is chip and sig then you can still go through the tills. if however it is chip and pin and you arewaiting on your pin, your card will be declined, and you will be asked for another method of payment

They are an absoloute pain in the !!!!!!.

They think theyve run out of paper when they haven't, i know the one at my store is out most of the time.

The tech people we use aswell are crap they couldn't diagnose a fault if it slapped them in the face.

That coupled with the fact your standard customer hasn't a clue how to use it doesn't help .... you wouldnt believe how many people expect it to work like an atm machine and just stick the card straight in without asking.

Can't tell they run on Windows can you? ;)

Another thing to watch out for on these things or at least it was last time I used one is that it prints the entire number of your credit/debit card on the receipt
