Okay, I think I've worked out where Thenotsowyzewun is coming from.

Normal price for Sky Digital (cheapest pack) is £15 a month, that's £180 a year.

Take off the 4 month 1/2 price offer (worth £7.50 x 4 = £30) and £10 off for online ordering and then £50 for ordering via Quidco.

The total is then £90 for the year, which is exactly half price.

Phew.

So good I signed up yesterday for the same thing.

I got a thing through the post yesterday saying I could have any sky package for 1/2 price for six months, as I left Sky a while back. Seriously thinking about taking them up on it, as there's no contractual obligation to stay with them after the 6 months is up. I can just cancel it again.


Oh, this is open to previous customers of sky. When calling them, quote WINNER to get 6 months half price subs. You can choose a new sky install instead of the half price subs, but I guess that would only appeal to those who no longer have their sat. equipment.

hmm that sounds good half price for 6 months... so all i do is ring them on the customer services number tell them i have a ticket with WINNER on and i can get it??

Yep. It's only available to those who are ex-sky customers, though. It's Sky's way of trying to get me to go back to Sky.
