Thanks for your response, I have tried to be considerate, as i know lots of people dont like receiving these things, but I also know some do. I am hoping by being considerate like I am I shouldnt get too many rude responses, if I do though I will apologise and go on my way. I do understand how people feel and dont want to wind people up or upset anyone.
Hope all goes well for you. Did your ta go out with you?Future goals:

No I went out on my own, found it a bit daunting to be honest. Am off out later to collect any brochures that have been put out for me, and put a note through those that havent.
I hate to think Im bothering people, so perhaps dont have the right mentality for a job like this.0 -
You'll get used to it! With you putting the note asking if they want one again then it will be easier for you to deliver them the next time around - as you know the houses you deliver to don't mind having one.
How did it go collecting them in? Did you get many orders?Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
I used to do this when I was still at school. Made some decent (for a schoolkid) money and just did it on a night after school, couple of times a week.
Anyway, it was a strange set up, at first this woman used to pay us to actually do the job, it didn't matter how much we made etc, we just got a set amount for delivering/picking up each catalogue.
After a while, we got our own local area to do, working for some bloke who lived quite close by. This time was different, we actually ordered the stuff with him, collected the money etc and got commison. He didn't pay us our commision in the end so he was fired and they offered us the area ourselves.
We were 16 and had just left school so didn't last long after that as we got full time jobs, looking back, having a whole area (few thousand households) was quite a big thing for kids who had just left school.0 -

I started last week and delivered 75 books
however when i went to collect them today I could only collect 45

I was thinking of doing this...can anyone answer to me how they dealt with the book-keeping side of things as that is the only bit I am struggling with. I did accounting at uni and it was the one subject I barely understood and just did the basics without the understanding.
I was going to Betterware and my wife was going to do Avon as has a good network of friends, but I was thinking of doing both of the deliveries at the same time so delivering Betterware and Avon in the same houses?
Any ideas welcome, but please keep the detrimental comments out of this post and only constructive criticism.
