sent an e-mail yesterday quoting the order and e-mail confirmation. No response at all.

Got a feeling this one's just going to be ignored and they'll pretend that it never happened.

  • Seriously, this is not some overblown sense of entitlement ut if they do ignore us, we could collectively write to them, Trading Standards or even Watchdog. If they noticed their mistake and chose not to honour it, they still should have the decency and courtesy to inform us all rather than leave us hanging and ignore us...

I suggest we should wait for one more day before taking any action, just in case they are too busy with the free orders to respond to any emails ;)

If nothing tomorrow, then we can give them a ring and enquire about our order. If they are ignorant or think we are stupid, maybe we can remind them about the email confirmation/print screens... they might just get their head screwed on!

I was thinking about this and whilst I know we're unlikely to get them, does the fact that if they have to charge 1p to your credit card for 'free' items, does that mean there's some sort of contractual acceptance of sale on their part?

I don't think they charge the card, they just credit check...
I might be totally wrong though!

Why should they be credit checking us, we're just buying a handset??
