Does a Lodgers Credit Rating Affect Yours?

I was thinking about taking in a lodger and wondering if they have a damaged credit rating will it affect mine? Also if coincidentally they have the last name as me will it also affect my credit rating?

It could, as your address could get tainted by any credit problems the lodger encounters.

You can instruct the credit agencies that your credit record should only contain details of your own record (other than having any others with the same name/address associated with it)
