i want to buy speakers for a Sony MP3 player?

I would like to buy a small set of speakers that my daughter can use with her Sony MP3 player? I don't want to spend more than £20. Please help...

* 2.1 speakers are generally better as they come with a subwoofer, but 2.0 speakers are more portable (no heavy subwoofer to lug around!). So, if sound is more important than portability go in for a 2.1.
* If you can, listen to both types instore at a PC World (or similar).
* Go in for the better makes like Creative, Logitech, Altec Lansing, Teac, Philips, Sony or Trust (last is usually good value).

If you'd like to see more:

- Visit the PC World website & search for speakers - there are a few that can be collected from store which are within your budget.

- 2.0 speaker systems (sorted by ascending prices)

- 2.1 speaker systems (sorted by ascending prices)

- Many (if not all) of these 2.1 sets at eBay (filtered search) should do. If in doubt about compatibility ask here before purchasing.

If you have a few in mind but cannot decide, post their names+models & we'll try to help. The above is probably overkill , but I like to make a 'proper' post as far as possible .
