It is soon my mother in laws golden wedding anniversary and she has asked for a digital camera. She is bit of a novice with gadgets so I am not sure what to get her - any advice would be appreciated?

I got my mum a Canon Ixus 70 last year and she absolutely loves it. She's very much a point and shoot photography novice and has found using this camera very easy indeed. Plus, it takes great quality pics. Only downside is they are a bit pricey.0
