Pension Service Mortgage Payments

Options
I wonder if anyone could help me! My mam retired last September and is getting the basic state pension however it was arranged through the pension service that her interest only mortgage would be paid. However over the last 6 months she has been paying £35.00 a month in bank charges (with the mortgage account company) as the Pension Service dont pay the mortgage payments on a set date. The Pension Service are so varied in the amount in the payments to the mortgage company she has had to pay some months the extra say £100.00 shortfall.

She gets so little and now regrets retiring and only did so because they gave her all the assurances that things would be automatically paid. She has asked the Pension Service to refund her the charges but they say it is not their fault.

Can someone please help?
