should i remortgage or buy to let ??

hi im buying a property for 200,000 that needs renovation we own a house with no mortgage worth 165000 by b/society valuer we will sell this property once the other is restored approx 1 year.we have 30000 savings and could borrow from parents the rest depending on how much we can borrow ,should we go remortgage interest only and pay it off in 2 yrs or repayment or are thier other options advise please
