4x Lamb Chops
4x Pork Chops
4x chicken legs
8x Sausages
1lb Stewing Steak

We are trying really hard to reduce our food bill, I have to feed me, df and dd who is two in two weeks, how far could you make this stretch?

just a quicky but i will have a think about this
mince bulked out will make a shepards pie and a spaghetti bolognese and a lasagne.
chicken legs cooked and stripped will make soup and a curry .
8 sausages will make a caserole and a toad in the hole
stewing steak will make a meat and veg pie ,and again a beef curry
thats 9 meals so far i'm sure some one will come up with more0 -
It depends if you want to eat meat every day. If you eat vegetarian meals and fish then it could last for ages.0

Lamb chops
Lamb hotpot (add plenty of vegetables should leave a extra potion for freezer)
Pork chops
Cube chops and make a casserole save a portion for freezer
Chicken legs
Shred meat off the bone
With the meat from 2 legs make a chicken and vegetable pie
With meat of the other leg make a chicken and vegetable broth add dumplings so its more substantial
Then with the bones and meat from the last leg I would make a chicken, sweet corn and noodle soup
Sausages
5 make a casserole save (save portion for freezer)
3 take out of skins roll into 12 little balls fry till brown then make cowboy pie which is just sausage balls, baked beans and cheese with short crust pastry top
Stewing steak
1/3 beef, chickpea and tomato curry
1/3 beef and vegetable stew with dumplings
1/3 beef and mushroom suet pudding
Steak mince
1/3 Bolognas pasta bake
1/3 Shepard’s pie
1/3 Cornish pasties should make about 6 so either 2 each for dinner with chips and veg/beans or one each for dinner and save the others either for lunch or another dinner
Freezers portions as a another nights dinner
Forgot to add that this will make 14 meals
Well this is what I would do with the meat anyway
Hope this helps

Love the idea of the sausage balls for the cowboy pie - I usually grill and slice - cowboy casserole is the same but with a tin of tomatoes and a dash of Worcestershire sauce“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

Yes but lasting is not the same as stretching. It has been suggested that it will do 9 meals, if you eat one meal per day it will last 9 days. If you include a veggie/fish meal every other day it will last 18 days, but it has still only stretched to 9 meals.
If you want it to last then you could throw it in the freezer and it will last for years, but you'd have to buy more food in the mean time.0 -

To me the term 'stretching meat' means making sure you use every last edible bit.0
