a couple of weeks ago, I placed an order for two roses for my parents Golden Wedding Anniversity, from PETER BEALES Roses in the UK.
They didnt take my money then but took my details to pay.
4 days before the anniversary, they have rung me up, and said, due to an error in the database they dont have the bare roses at £8 (approx) but they can send me out potted ones at £25.
Now, I don't mind this, but, a. I cannot afford it, and b. they refused to at least compensate slightly, on any postage (about £15 of this is postage)
So, now I am left with no roses to give to my parents, I know it's not the end of the world, but I wanted to do something like this for them and I feel they have tried to con me into buying a more expensive rose when they could have told me at least a week ago or when i ordered they did not have the stock.
Can anyone suggest anything as most of these companys require 2 weeks for delivery.
thanks
yours unhappily and certainly not going to buy from Peter Beales again.

It looks like the problem is that it is the end of the season for sending out bare root roses.
This company can't do bare root, but their potted aren't much more expensive and they say they can deliver on Wednesday 1st April. Worth a look?Numpties...I'm surrounded by them...save me...:whistle:0 -
Why not go to your local garden centre and see if you can find an alternative?0
