That's a pretty good deal. I got one of these a couple of weeks ago and it's very good and miles better then the Pioneer I first got and that got sent back as faulty.

A very good quality drive. Shame I paid £34.99 for mine, but well worth it even at that price.

I got the 4163 last year, never had a roblem at all. I paid about £35 as well. The price is exceptional, especially as you can have either colour for the price.

This is surely the cheapest DVD dual layer writer around at £19.99.

Except the Philips doesn't support DVD-Ram, which is useful if you've got a Panasonic DVD Recorder (or other DVD-Ram based one).

The SVP one is very good for the price though if you don't need the RAM support (especially with the buyers club £3 off for a spend of £30 until Friday Mid-day)

i suggest..go with NEC 4550 or 4570 slightly more but better in the long run...

Cheers for that - Got one of these at work and its a cracking piece of kit. Its as good as anything else out there with the added bonus of doing RAM disks (got a Panasonic DVD recorder at home so v useful).
