Thanks Merlinexcalibur - I'm sick of being treated like a second class citizen by these t**ss**s - I did some silly borrowing and am paying for it (literally) - that doesn't mean they can take advantage at every opportunity does it?Amount saved by cutting down on  since 24/08/2009....... :j£81.78:j0

I had the same issue with capquest, but unfortunately had a DD with them, which they changed to the new amount.
I contacted my bank and deleted their new direct debit, then wrote to them telling them I had done so, and would continue paying the set amount I had been doing. They did not dispute this.
They are very annoying, and give you the minimum amount of time to respond. Good for you Marthasdad, dont let the b??**@@d's get u down!

Thanks Diamondgal007 - did they write to you and confirm this was OK (to keep at the original level) or did they just go away?Amount saved by cutting down on  since 24/08/2009....... :j£81.78:j0

As I rent my home, I am not benefitting from reduced interest payments and, therefore, in real terms, I have had a cut in income of 3.7%.

I was quite pleased with myself - any views?
I wouldn't have included the stuff about inflation and renting the house - keep to the key relevant fact, i.e. that you are paying the maximum you can afford to now.loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.0 -
Nope, it doesn't. TBH, it really makes my blood boil when I see people treated in this way. There should be far tighter controls than there are because, clearly, some do not take a blind bit of notice of legislation as demonstrated by what you've experienced. Thanks Merlinexcalibur - I'm sick of being treated like a second class citizen by these t**ss**s - I did some silly borrowing and am paying for it (literally) - that doesn't mean they can take advantage at every opportunity does it?
To put it mildly I am intolerant of these people who do this to people. But glad you are fighting back because the more who do so the more notice is taken of how people in debt are treated.
Anyway, I shouldn't be here so (smack) wrists have been severely punished for creeping onto the keyboard and autonomically allowing my fingers to type; but I don't like to see people in distress and in need.
Any help, opinions, views I may hold those are my own. Respect them as you would expect the same in return. Offered freely, is gleaned from a lifetime of experiences, knowledge gaining. Passed on to benefit others. I may be direct, ask you questions but those are to help you. Up to you if you choose to take it. I won't judge you either way.

They're playground bullies, nothing more.
However, when you've got mse on your side, your gang's bigger than their gang so you win the fight.
