Can anyone recommend a company to do my home info pack? Someone cheap but reliable. Found myhiphome.co.uk who can do it leasehold for £211.60 inc.VAT. My EA want £350 for an 'exchange ready pack' which i dont think i really need.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Not a bad price. I have seem them for £199.00. An exchange ready pack is a waste of time if the house takes a while to sell.0

Make sure that any price you are quoted for a HIP includes both the searches and the Energy Performance Certificate. Some companies try to make their prices look lower by quoting for a "HIP" and then adding the EPC afterwards; a HIP should have the EPC included. I'm not entirely sure what an "exchange ready" pack would be, because a property is only "exchange ready" when the solicitor has viewed all the relevant search results (many of which are not included in a HIP and if they are, they are out of date), the deeds, the mortgage instructions, Property Information Forms etc. £350.00 sounds expensive and you may find that you don't actually own the HIP if you buy it through the agents and then want to go elsewhere for any reason.
Hope this helps!0 -

people should not be paying more than £300 for a HIP these days, with the state of the market HIP's prices have come right down and if you stick with either a solicitor or a HIP provider who complies with all the HIP codes then you should be ok0

Then read the rules first.0
