I agree with the principle but if you looked at half of the attendees, you'd know that a new car is not what they're in the market for!

(I guess you could say the other half are!)

I assume that you mean that if 'you' looked at half the people there they would'nt buy a french car?
Maybe that 'they' dont have the means to purchase on the day, unlike 'the half you proffess to belong to'
Or Are they in the 'market' for an extra income?
HOW ELITIST, I have a feeling that, in the current economic climate, You and the rest of the 'labels' may be glad of a day of motorsport that is accessible to ALL.

I had an amazing time last year, I saw some live motorsport, I got a tan, I walked for miles around the track, I lost it with the kids !!:-} and I saw, heard and put up with the 'only people that should be there' with their £100 sunglasses and £200 open toe sandles complaining that they didnt have enough room to Blah, Blah, Blah.
BUT none of that spoiled it for me because I was there for the experience (and the traffic minibus, being a taxi driver). I will apply for tickets again, see you there.

I went for the first time last year and honestly can't understand why people complain about it. We saw someone we knew there who said it was rubbish and would not be going again. Come on, it's a free day out! Lots to see, we took a picnic lunch and drinks and got loads of freebies so the entire day was a fantastic free day out for the cost of petrol.

    Highly recommended.:j

    Muppet!

That's clearly not what I meant - half the people (at least) could have been run over by a renault and wouldn't have known what it was. I bet most of these people couldn't even tell you one of the Renault models in the range.

What's the deal with you pointing out the French car bit - why's that relevant?!

Brilliant, missed out on this last year but ill be keeping an eye for those tickets this time round.

And for all you miserable gits, ill be 7 and a half months pregnant and have a 2 year old with me when we go so dont moan or ill ram my pushchair into your ankles, lol.

Yes its a free day out but DH does love cars and we do own a Renault, so :-p

I'm not happy this is still at Silverstone, I can't get there because its so far away. I think that Donnington is a more central circuit for the whole country (although thats just my opinion).

Its a great day out and would reccomend it to anyone. I'm a big petrol head so I enjoyed it because of that, but I didn't see one person who wasn't smiling. The only thing I would say is that don't buy the food there, its an absolute rip off.

Great for motorsport fans and non motorsport fans alike.

Cant say for silverstone, but i guess it should be easier to get out of than donnington.

For the 2 times ive been, both times i parked in-field, due to getting a few laps in during dinner time. A total nightmare getting out of it. Even when we managed to get out of the area, some idiot tried to throw themselves off a bridge on the M1. So had to wait again on the M1.

RWS broke away on its own, trying to make it on its own. It needs to give free tickets out to get people coming back again & again, then they can look to charge people £10 per head in the future.

I think it might pop back to donnington next year, as F1 is moving to donnington.
